Ghazanfar Shah

Ghazanfar (“Ghaz”) Shah is a Partner at GS Advisory, dividing his time between the UAE and KSA. He leads the firm’s Forensics and Risk Mitigation practices, where he advises clients on identifying, managing, and mitigating financial, operational, regulatory, and reputational risks. Ghaz specializes in leading complex, cross-border internal and regulatory investigations, helping organizations navigate sensitive matters and strengthen their governance and compliance frameworks.

Ghaz is a seasoned fraud investigator and forensic accountant who works closely with clients on complex forensic accounting investigations, financial reviews, and disputes across multiple jurisdictions. He has led high-profile investigations involving alleged violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act, supporting multinational organizations and their distributors and agents across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. His approach combines technical rigor with commercial insight, enabling clients to respond decisively to regulatory scrutiny while safeguarding their operations and reputation.

Ghaz’s work has been consistently recognized by leading industry publications. He has been awarded the Client Choice Award for Forensic Accounting, UAE by Lexology in 2024, 2025, and 2026. He is recognized by Global Investigations Review (GIR) as a “Thought Leader – Investigations Forensic Accountants,” and has been ranked by Who’s Who Legal as an “Expert: Investigations – Forensic Accountants” since 2022.

Ghaz is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in the U.S. state of Colorado, and a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) in the United Kingdom. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), reflecting his deep expertise in financial crime risk, compliance, and investigative matters.

Financial Advisory

Sohail Ismail

Muhammad Sohail (“Sohail”) is a Partner at GS Advisory, based in Riyadh, where he leads the firm’s Financial Advisory practice. He brings more than 20 years of experience across the Middle East and the Sub-Continent, having held senior leadership roles in finance, internal audit, and enterprise risk management within global organizations, including PwC, Siemens, and Saudi Binladin Group. Sohail works closely with clients to address complex financial and operational challenges, delivering practical, results-oriented solutions aligned with their strategic objectives.

Drawing on his experience as Chief Financial Officer for multiple organizations, Sohail provides clients with a hands-on, commercially focused perspective. He advises clients on forensic and financial due diligence, construction and infrastructure project reviews, and accounting and financial reporting matters. Sohail also supports organizations in designing and implementing robust Internal Control, Compliance, and Enterprise Risk Management frameworks that enhance transparency, strengthen governance, and improve operational resilience.

Sohail is a Chartered Accountant and was awarded a Gold Medal in ICAP’s Financial Accounting examination. He is also actively involved in helping organizations leverage emerging technologies and supports clients in advancing their digital transformation and modernization initiatives.

Forensics & Risk Mitigation

Seema Haque Shah

Seema Shah is a partner in GS Advisory’s office in UAE. As head of its Social Impact Advisory practice, Seema leads its various social, cultural, and philanthropic initiatives whilst ensuring such initiatives are sustainable and eco-friendly.

Seema is also the brains behind the golf fashion brand Seems Like Tee that allows golfers to create personalized golf shirts – Art golfers can wear with hand drawn golf specific logos.

Her love of art saw Seema venture into the world of oil painting and calligraphy. Seems Like Art is an avenue Seema uses to expresses her artistic nature. She is honored to have her artwork on display at the offices of various FMCGs and companies.

Seema’s love of teaching and mentoring has led her to developing (and teaching) various art and design courses tailored towards students of all ages and backgrounds, including for children with determination. She also taught a class of underprivileged women on various arts and skills enabling them to earn a living for themselves independently.

She is an experienced textile designer with a Bachelors of Arts in textile design. Her previous work experience was at the prestigious handloom fabric design house “Khaadi” where she designed fabrics/textiles and fashion accessories for women, and bed linens and other household/home textile products and accessories.

Housing and Housing Finance Advisory

Zaigham Rizvi

Zaigham Rizvi heads GS Advisory’s Housing and Housing Finance practice with fifty plus years of professional accomplishments in Housing and Housing Finance, Development Banking, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy and Academia.

He is considered an expert on Housing and Housing Finance and has worked with international organizations such as: the World Bank, IFC, UN-ESCAP, UN-HABITAT with a focus on Affordable Housing for Social Housing Segment in 9 countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

Proven track record of having served as CEO and achieved successful turnarounds of three development finance institutions in Pakistan, i.e., Pak-Libya Holding Co. (PLHC), Pak-Kuwait Investment Co (PKIC) and House Building Finance Co. (HBFC).

He was awarded the “Outstanding CEO Award” from the Association of Development Associations of Asia-Pacific (ADFIAP)-Manila in 2004 and served as ADFIAP Vice Chairman and currently its Honorary Life Member.

He is the Founding Chairperson of Advisory Center for Affordable Settlements and Housing (ACASH), which maintains a website (www.acash.org.pk) on Affordable Housing Programs around the Globe, with a primary focus on Asia-Pacific Region and Pakistan.  

Mr. Rizvi also served as Chairman of Housing Task Force (PMHTF) on behalf of the Prime Minister of Pakistan. During his tenure, he authored the housing policy for the Government and chalked out its execution program in association with provincial platforms for housing. Mr. Rizvi also served as the Honorary Adviser to Ministry of Science & Technology for the government of Pakistan for three years (2019-2022).

Mr. Rizvi has also been actively engaged in serving people with disabilities for the last 40 years, with the primary focus on Hearing Impaired/Deaf and Visually Impaired/Blind Persons. He founded Sir Syed Deaf Association which has been actively serving the disabled community of Pakistan and was responsible for publishing Pakistan’s first ever books on ‘Sign Language for Pakistan’ and ‘Sign Language for Computers’.
